India Semiconductor Mission 2026, India के tech इतिहास में सबसे बड़ा साल माना जा रहा है क्योंकि पहली बार “Made-in-India” semiconductor chips finally market में आने जा रहे हैं. पिछले कई सालों से India सिर्फ chip consumer था हम mobile phone से लेकर laptops, cars, smart appliances और satellites तक हर चीज़ के लिए foreign chips पर dependent थे. लेकिन 2026 में यह dependency पहली बार टूटने वाली है.

ISM के तीन बड़े goals थे:
Domestic chip designing ecosystem बनाना aur Chip manufacturing (fabs) India में setup करना aur Complete supply chain developed करना 2026 में ये तीनों goals काफी हद तक reality में बदलते दिख रहे हैं.

ISM के तहत India में तीन सबसे बड़ी chip fabs active phase में हैं.
First — Tata Semiconductor Fab (Gujarat)
Second — Micron Assembly & Packaging Facility (Gujarat)
Third — ISMC Analog Fab (Karnataka)
इसके अलावा Vedanta-Foxconn और कई global partners new proposals और expansions पर काम कर रहे हैं.
Tata का fab सबसे advanced है जहाँ 28nm और 40nm chips का production शुरू होगा — जो mobile, auto, IoT gadgets और industrial electronics के लिए perfect होंगे.
